Three hurdles

Portfolio companies stall at prototype, yield or production

What is missing is rarely only technology; it is the link between engineering, supply chain, orders and funding.

Hurdle 1

The prototype will not come together

The principle works, but there is no engineering team, equipment or design-for-manufacture (DFM) experience.

Hurdle 2

Yields will not rise

The prototype exists, but the process is unstable, costs are high and the pilot run fails.

Hurdle 3

Production will not scale

Small batches work; at volume, consistency and capacity fall short.

Service stages

From drawing to production: three stages, used as needed

01

Rapid prototyping

Turn designs into testable parts; assembly, tolerance and material problems surface early. For lab-stage and seed / Series A projects.

  • DFM review, structural design, hardware and software modules, AI features
  • CNC machining, 3D printing, PCB + SMT prototypes

02

Pilot production

Lock lab data into a repeatable process and check stability, yield and consistency. For companies preparing small deliveries or customer samples.

  • Rapid tooling, process validation, trial production
  • Optional technology insurance

03

Production readiness

Be ready for the big order: delivery capacity, certification, cost and quality systems. For companies ahead of a major order or a ramp-up.

  • CNC and injection-moulding production, sheet metal, supply chain set-up
  • Carbon-fibre parts end to end

Corporate R&D

Six steps for corporate R&D projects

We take the project out of the corporate KPI cycle, prove it quickly, then hand it back to the production line.

  1. 01

    Define the need

A bottleneck technology, an upgrade or a technology import.

  2. 02

    Assess

Expert assessment and an external technology scan.

  3. 03

    Agree the rules

IP ownership, revenue sharing and tolerance for failure, agreed up front.

  4. 04

    Dedicated team

Fast prototyping on a flexible base, away from organisational inertia.

  5. 05

    Pilot

Pilot runs at partner bases, with technology insurance.

  6. 06

    Production or transfer

Hand-over to the company's line, solving scale-up failures.

Manufacturing

Partner manufacturing bases and a contract manufacturing network

Three prototyping and pilot bases, four vertically integrated bases and a network of manufacturing partners cover the main processes from design to final assembly.

FAQ

Is the first technical review free?
Yes. We assess feasibility, risks and the route forward, then propose stages and a quote.
What should we prepare for the first call?
Drawings or design files, the BOM, the current prototype or process status, and your targets (yield, cost, delivery date).
Who owns the intellectual property?
IP ownership, revenue sharing and confidentiality are agreed in the contract before work starts; R&D projects also agree failure tolerance up front.
